This course aims to introduce the Thuasne® SpryStep® Pre-Preg* Composite Design Theory, detailing the SpryStep® Philosophy & Design Rules. It also aims to outline why using composite materials can be advantageous to patient clinical outcomes.

1. SpryStep® - Principles of Composite Design

This course aims to help you understand the defaults of the SpryStep® Clinical Theory:
WHY this information is requested and HOW this impacts product design & patient outcome.

Patient assessment is required to help understand what your clinical goals are, and how an orthotic prescription can best meet these clinical goals.

What are your clinical goals?
How can the prescription of an AFO or a KAFO meet these clinical goals?
Which elements of the patient assessment will impact the prescription?

2. SpryStep® - Patient Assessment

This course aims to link assessment and orthotic biomechanics to the appropriate device, and appropriate shape capture (alignment).

3. SpryStep® - Orthotic biomechanics & prescription criteria

This SpryStep® Casting & Shape capture course will look at the importance of taking a cast, and the roles that alignment and force pattern have on the outcome of the definitive AFO or KAFO.
It will also show how the cast, scan and measurements are analysed and used to create the the CAD modelling, and the reporting of these outcomes to the clinician through the pre-manufacture report.

4. SpryStep® - Casting & Shape capture

This course will present the suggested fitting process of SpryStep® AFOs (OTS or Custom) and SpryStep® Vector Custom KAFO.
The course will also provide advice on fitting modifications post-production, problem-solving, returns process, etc.
