This course introduces clinicians to the unique principles and clinical value of the VADOplex system, a next-generation Intermittent Impulse Compression (IIC) device.
The course also includes a Webinar at the end of the course on Managing VTE Prevention and Oedema with Intermittent Impulse Compression.
By the end of this course, clinicians will be able to:
Explain the VADOplex mechanism and clinical value:
Describe how Intermittent Impulse Compression (IIC) works, how it differs from standard IPC, and why that difference matters physiologically and clinically.
Select appropriate patients safely:
Identify the main indications and contraindications, and apply clinical judgement to determine when VADOplex is appropriate (and when it is not).
Apply therapy correctly and justify use with evidence:
Demonstrate correct fitting/setup and programme selection, and summarise the key evidence supporting VADOplex use for DVT prevention, oedema management, and PAOD/chronic wounds.
